December 6th was more than just a date on the calendar for the Intan Chemical Group (ICG) family. It was a day of reflection. As our brothers and sisters in Lumajang faced the aftermath of the Mount Semeru eruption, our team felt a deep calling—not just to fulfill a corporate responsibility, but to answer a call for human connection.
The journey to Lumajang that day allowed us to witness firsthand the incredible resilience behind the weary faces of those affected. For us, the supplies we brought—logistics and basic necessities—were only a small part of the mission. Our true goal was to reach out and help rekindle the spirit of a community that had been shaken.
It’s Not About Us; It’s About Solidarity
At ICG, we believe that no organization exists in a vacuum. We are an integral part of the community. When one part of our community hurts, it is our collective duty to show up and lighten the burden.
We carried out this CSR mission with the utmost humility. We understand that material aid may be temporary, but a genuine presence and a helping hand send a simple, vital message: "You are not alone."
"Seeing the faint smiles and feeling the warmth of the residents' gratitude was a powerful reminder for all of us. Humanity is a universal language. We didn't go there as 'donors'; we went as fellow human beings who wanted to share what we have."
Gratitude for the Synergy
This mission would not have been possible without the sincere collaboration and dedication of our entire team and partners. This spirit of gotong royong (mutual cooperation) is exactly what provides the energy needed to support Lumajang’s recovery process.
We hope this small step serves as a spark of hope for the victims to rise again. In the end, beyond the scale of the aid provided, it is the enduring sense of care that truly matters.
Let’s keep supporting one another.
